I made a new website. He is damn well lucky that I didn't redirect the domain to a 'less than reputable' site.
Hey guys! I thought I'd let you know about a little 'problem' we have had with our website recently. A very kind fellow in the IRC I frequent threatened to dox me, but he obviously found that too dificult, so he decided to deface the website a little.
He decided to replace the social media links on the top, right hand corner with the letter 'h' (always lower case), which is his, well you could call it a symbol. The hacker in question, if you don' know me very well and haven't figured it out yet, goes by the name of Zee.
No passwords or sensitive data were stolen, as it is clear to me that after a little investigation that Zee hacked into the website's source using a pre-existing vulerability in my control panle/hosting provider's systems. The changes were easily reverted by simply re-publishing the site after I performed a few updates/maintainanace.
Hey guys, Puddleduck here!
I just decided to write up a post after I spent a good while setting something up for us. We can now send and recieve email from @tdpstudios.co.uk email addresses! This will make us look much more professional and will give us an advantage in the future!
We can do this, for free, using Google Apps. This service gives us effectivly gmail, without the @gmail.com bit. This enables us to create accounts as needed and gives us a nice, clean login page at mail.tdpstudios.co.uk.
Overall, I feel this is great, and with the time it took me to do it, I hope it's worth the effort!
I decided to write up a news post because we reached our first milestone last night, in reference to YouTube subscriber numbers. We hit 50 subs!
We will be doing something to thank you all at some point in the near future, but for now all we can do is this thanks! Soon we will be running a contest to win a copy of Portal 2, of which we have 2 to give away, so make sure you are subscribed to be in with a chance of winning that!
As we speak we have gone past 50 subscribers, we currently stand at 51! Our next target is 100, and we hope we can get a little help from our friends, and lots of new content to help push us towards this mark! This 50 is what we feel we can call us making into the world of YouTube, classifying us as small fry in the YouTube world!
In summary, subscribe if you haven't done so already, and stay awesome! We work hard for you guys and you make it worth the time and effort!
Hey guys, I just thought I would update you all with the information about our server. Due to our host (PingRapid Ltd) going into voluntary liquidation, we have effectively lost our Minecraft server. This is bad because what we were getting suited us quite well, was dirt cheap and had awesome customer support. However, now they are gone, we have to move on and we have found our new host, whom we will be switching to in the next few days.
This new host is VeoServ, who have been awesome and offered to give me a pretty hefty discount after I explained the situation I had been put in. This new host offers support for uploading different server .jars, which was the one thing that let my old host down.
We will be playing Tekkit, Hack/Mine and other things that take our fancy!
That is all for now, so thanks for reading and we hope that you can play on our server at some point in the near future!
We are about to hold our first community event, a spleef contest on spleef.tdpstudios.co.uk:25677!
Come join now!
Well, in response to the last news post, that was made last night, JamieRKO has decided to man up and stop being an asshat. This is his last chance, and severely pissing me off, and using 'banter' as an excuse is not tolerable at any point in the future!
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this!
This new blog is the best place to find news about The Duck Pond, and we have some pretty major news, which is why I decided to take the time to crate this blog, to inform you, the fans.
We are happy to announce that we have a new team member here at The Duck Pond, a very nice fellow who goes by the name of Ryanteck! He is currently producing his first video, as I type, and we all feel that he will be a great addition to the team! He has his own TDP branded YouTube channel, TDPRyanteck, where you will shortly be able to view his first video! Ryanteck is also a gifted programmer and coder, so if the website suddenly starts looking a lot nicer, you probably have him to thank for it.
The next order of business is another member of staff, JamieRKO. He is unfortunately leaving The Duck Pond, and I am not happy to say he did not leave on good terms. This is the second, and final time that he has left. He hasn't actually been told he is 'fired' yet, but by his actions it is clear that he no longer cares.
So in summary, welcome our newest member: Ryanteck, and if anyone actually cares about JamieRKO here, then i am very surprised.
