A Totally Original Idea

As you may have heard, a game has surfaced that is a tale of personal frustration, and it aims, to share the frustration with you! Now that is kind, isn't it! The game, oddly titled 'I Get This Call Every Day' is the brainchild of Canadian indie developer David S Gallant (@davidsgallant on Twitter) and allows the player to play the role of a call centre agent.
The game is simple enough, you have to balance keeping the caller happy, with maintaining a strong element of data protection. Give to much away, and your boss will put you out of a job faster than you can tell your caller what you think of him!

The game's point and click interface is simple to use, and allows the player to easily make choices about what they want to say to the caller. You can either ask a serious question, or you can give a flippant response. Obviously, this flippant response is likely to earn you a meeting with the big man, as you don't know when your boss could be monitoring your calls!
The game has gained an odd following on YouTube with big names such as The Yogscast doing LPs of the game, which will surely contribute to increasing the games popularity even more. To play the game, you have to be prepared to part with a little of your cash, a minimum of $2, which is more than reasonable, considering that this will probably give you a good few hours of enjoyment! I recommend paying above the minimum price, so that the developer can take a little break from his work in a call centre! This game clearly is a stunning example of how one man can use personal experience to entertain others!

The game is available on David Gallant's website here!
